CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Please find attached the brochure for an upcoming regional ICISF conference here in Mississippi September 18-21, 2008 at the Jackson Hilton. (It can also be accessed online here:  http://icisf.org/training/calendarofcon.cfm).

The International Critical Incident Stress Foundation is the international standard in crisis intervention with recent adoption by the United Nations for its employees throughout the world. We are fortunate and excited to be hosting this great training event in our state.

There are several great courses offered:
1) Group Crisis Intervention
2) Individual Crisis Intervention and Peer Support

3) Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention
4) Terrorism: Psychological Impact and Interventions
5) Families and CISM: Developing a Comprehensive Program
6) Line of Duty Death: Preparing the Best for the Worst

Plugging into local community resiliency and recovery resources is a key part of all of the courses. The instructors will come from throughout the country and excellent in their fields.

The courses will be great for experienced crisis interveners, beginners, or those who may be curious or skeptical about crisis intervention and its place in the continuum of care.
